About me

About me

What does success mean to you? My dad taught me all about what it is to be successful, in just twelve words.

I was talking with him the day he died and asked what he’d like to come back as, expecting a jokey reply. Do you know what he said?

“I don’t want anything different or anything more than I have now.”

That’s what I call success. A life lived so you look back and regret nothing. Dad’s wisdom has shaped every decision I’ve made since.

It means I decided to create a business that makes use of my talents (I’m a born planner, organiser and delegator) and also allows me to live life on my terms. I believe in hard work and I believe in doing things well but I didn’t want to be at the coalface 24/7, there’s more to life than that.

A few years ago my husband and I adopted two children. We were so excited and, like always, I wanted to do things right. I moved my virtual assistant business onto a sustainable footing, so it could survive without me always there.

Sadly, the adoption broke down, leaving me heartbroken. The trauma dominated my life for over three years. But my business survived. It gave me the space to grieve and to rebuild my life. To throw myself into other projects, like my £10,000 fundraising and walking challenge in 2018.

I also have my fur-baby Ziggy, and my business model means I can spend time in nature with her everyday, staying fit and keeping my head clear.

So I know it’s possible to build a business that gives you space to live life with more ease. To decide what success looks like to you and to go after it, with integrity. To be resilient enough to bounce back.

I know because I’ve done it. I’m doing it now. Kaleidoscope Virtual Assistant Services grows from strength to strength, and I’m proud of the services my associates provide to our clients.

I want to help as many people as possible find their ‘Thousandaire Sweet Spot’ – the place where they have enough time, money and energy to live the life they want. To achieve success on their own terms.

My book, ‘How To Be a Thousandaire’, Is a step by step guide to making microbusiness work for you.

I also love to help people individually or in groups, whether that’s as a speaker, through workshops or mentoring – I offer this worldwide via Zoom. Find out more about how you can work with me.
